The dog was not impressed…
The best part about having an extended family scattered across Europe is that we have an excuse to celebrate Christmas twice.
And here’s a snap of Macsen making his way home from school.

Adrian Tchaikovsky, author of the Shadows of the Apt series of fantasy novels has released a not very seasonal short story. It’s a fun read and can be found over here.
Last night we put out some milk and cookies for Sinterklaas, along with a carrot for his horse. And today – after breakfast, of course – Macsen went to check out the shoe.
In Belgium, the 5th December is when Sinterklaas climbs down the chimey to deliver presents. Of course, we left out a mug of milk (although I’m sure he’d have preferred a whisky) and a carrot for his horse and look… he’s been already.
I have finally retrieved all of the photos from my work phone, which means that I now have a collection of photos from all three recent encounters with Sinter Klaas.
