The food at the hotel was superb, but the service was slow. Very slow. So slow that Macsen was fed up with waiting before the first course had arrived.
So on the second night we wondered if there was somewhere in the room we could leave him…

This is the hotel we stayed at when we stopped off in Champagne. And it really was a lovely hotel.
